For as long as I could speak, words have been my greatest allies, my dearest of friends. Ever since I was able to hold up a pencil, I started to attempt to write words. I always liked reading, talking, connecting with people. I was very young when it became clear to me that I was going to be a writer. The world of stories was where I felt most at home; where I belonged.

I am a Brazilian-born, Australian writer. My multicultural background is evident in my work as both writer and translator. To me, writing is not a job, it is not a passion, it is not a vocation. Writing is who I am.
